Thanks to generous scholarship supporters, we are able to offer scholarship prizes.

You can make your business, yourself or someone other than yourself (in memory of) visible to the dance enthusiast and encourage ballroom dancers of all ages to participate in our competition by donating a scholarship. We offer scholarship visibility at these levels:

Level 1: $20 - $299
	All Level 1 scholarship supporters will be listed in a single advertisement and on the website. This advertisement will list your business or name and amount donated even if it is an anonymous donation because every donation helps. Level 1 scholarships moneys are given to the 1st place winner only unless, Level 1 scholarships are combined with other Level 1 scholarships. If Level 1 scholarships have not been designated to a specific event the funds will be assigned by the organizers to an event.
Level 2: $250 - $499
	1/4-page advertisement for your business and a notice near the event You present the award for the event sponsored. Scholarship supporters website or e-mail linked to the NWDSC website Two (2) tickets to the session of the event sponsored.
Level 3: $500 - $999
	1/2-page advertisement for your business and a notice near the event You present the award for the event sponsored. Scholarship supporters website or e-mail linked to the NWDSC website Two (2) tickets for the day session and evening session of the event sponsored.
Level 4: $1000 +
	Full-page advertisement for your business and a notice near the event You present the award for the event sponsored. Scholarship supporters website or e-mail linked to the NWDSC website Two (2) weekend pass tickets.

Should multiple supporters decide to donate a scholarship to the same event one of the following will occur:

• The Scholarship Coordinator will contact the supporter and ask what other event they wish to sponsor.
• The scholarships will be combined and the award presentation will be divided between the supporters.

Scholarships may be given in memory or honor of someone. This name must be provided on the Scholarship Supporters form.

Scholarships are typically awarded as follows:

• Scholarship of $250 => 1st Place ($125), 2nd Place ($85) and 3rd Place ($40)
• Scholarship of $500 => 1st Place ($250), 2nd Place ($175) and 3rd Place ($75)
• Scholarship of $600 => 1st Place ($300), 2nd Place ($200) and 3rd Place ($100)
• Scholarship of $1000 => 1st Place ($500), 2nd Place ($350) and 3rd Place ($150)
• Scholarship of $1200 => 1st Place ($600), 2nd Place ($400) and 3rd Place ($200)

Ad specs for scholarship donors:

• Advertisements should be submitted as JPG, TIFF, Adobe PDF, PSD (CS 4 or less), AI (version CS4 or less) or EPS files with embedded/outlined fonts.
• Ads must be received no later than October 12, 2012.
• A full page is 8.5 x 11 inch with 1/2 inch margin (no bleed), black & white.
• All ads or photos in ads should be saved at 300 dpi.

The Level 2, 3 & 4 scholarship supporter's website or e-mail will be linked to the NWDSC website once the event treasurer receives the scholarship form and donation check. To be clear, all scholarships are in US dollars. Coupons and in kind donations are not scholarships.
